We recommend sizing a half size down. The handwoven leather may feel slightly snug at first but will perfectly mold to your feet over time. This ensures a comfortable and uniquely fitting pair of sandals.
Your handwoven, warm-weather companion, the huarache dates back to pre-Columbian Mexico and has since become a staple shoe across many countries and cultures. Huarache is synonymous with Mexican sandals, offering both style and functionality.
Every pair is proudly handmade in an ethical factory we own and operate in Peru. It can take up to an entire day to make a single pair, involving 250 individual steps. Over 22 people, from leather cutting to packaging, interact with the product during its production. Though intensive, this model is one of our producers’ favorite shoes to work on.
Our soft, hand-cut leather molds to the shape of your foot with each wear, providing a comfortable pair of shoes that are uniquely fit for you. The durable rubber sole offers advanced traction, ensuring secure steps every time you walk. With this careful manufacturing process, you contribute to the perfection of your pair.
In the production of leather goods, companies often produce high waste, cutting abnormal shapes and leaving unusable scraps. Our huaraches are made with smaller strips of leather, allowing us to use up to 95% of our raw material. In contrast, other brands may only use up to 60%.
Your enthusiasm for our Nisolo Huarache plays a crucial role in supporting jobs in our factory in Peru and our partner factories in Mexico. This helps preserve a beautiful tradition throughout Latin America. We are grateful for your support and admiration.
